Going Blonde

If you were to look at photos of yourself when you're old and never saw any variation, how would you feel? I understand people who like constancy and like themselves with one haircolor, but I like to experiment and mix it up. most notably when I take a step back and realize life has made a big change- new hair just makes it more official haha
when trying to brainstorm new hair ideas I realized I didn't have to change the cut or do something funky, I could just do a completely different color. as a kid, my hair used to be golden blonde by the end of summer and it looked pretty good so I decided to try it again at 18. several inspiration photos I'm planning on showing my stylist:
I love this shade Miley Cyrus has, not gonna lie she's a major hairspiration

EDIT:
so I got to the salon, sat down in the chair and decided I wasn't ready to go completely blonde haha. thankfully my stylist is amazing! she loves to create looks for her clients so they walk out feeling comfortable & happy, but she also knows I'm very 'whatever' about my hair so she still put quite a few blonde highlights, lifting it about 5 levels (from between levels 2 & 3 to a level 7).

we kept my base color the same but did finely woven highlights on top and a few random chunks of ends in the back so it gives the illusion of natural highlights from spending time in the sun. I definitely freaked out at first and was a little uneasy while she was blowdrying haha. but after I came home, changed my outfit and stared at my hair for a little bit I decided I LOVED it! [note to self: next time you lighten your hair this much, don't wear jewel tones or army green! it'll look weird and you'll probably hate it at first.] I can't wait to go lighter with the base and go completely blonde next!
