School is finally settling down(yesss :) and I'm getting in the mood to blog more/possibly make some videos with my free time. Homework gets done between classes while I unwind at Starbucks.. yes, I would be the one to unwind by doing homework, despite how much I dislike school. I have such a huge build-up of clothes and makeup purchased this semester that I can't distinguish what is old and what is new for a haul! That's what you get when you go shopping after class.
However, I love these sorts of posts because you get to find out what other people use(I'm nosy about that stuff)! let me know if you do this, I'd love to read yours and maybe find some new products to try
Hair
Shampoo: bumble & bumble Gentle Shampoo - I got this after I last dyed my hair, as it was feeling dry and brittle. After washing my hair feels clean, light, and refreshed.. all the things I want in a shampoo
Conditioner: bumble & bumble So Rich Conditioner
Styling products: bumble & bumble Surf Spray(keeps waves in their beachy perfection all day), Brilliantine(Holy Grail material!! it's basically Victoria's Secret in a bottle), Does It All Spray - I'm a bumble whore. Styling has to be quick and easy in the mornings haha
Deep Conditioner: Aussie 3 Minute Miracle- possibly another HG product! It's soft, doesn't weigh hair down, and smells pleasant(I detect a little coconut in there). I only leave it on for as long as it takes to wash my body :) this gets used every week or so
Body
In the shower: Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, Philosophy Coconut Frosting body wash/bubble bath - the smell doesn't last past the shower
Lotion: Victoria's Secret Vanilla Coconut (i have my eye on a new one from VS- vanilla & praline- mmm makes you smell like a cookie)
Exfoliator: some kind of body wash/exfoliator hybrid from Softsoap
Face
Cleanser: Target brand makeup removing wipes/Philosophy Purity Made Simple High Foaming Wash (I gave up on Cetaphil)
Toner: Witch Hazel
Moisturizer: Philosophy Hope in a Jar(day)/Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream(night)
Makeup Remover: Sonia Kashuk Eye Makeup Remover
Facial scrub: generally I don't exfoliate my face, any scrub leaves me feeling stripped and my skin hurts from it
Makeup
Primer: bareMinerals Primer
Foundation: bareMinerals Matte Foundation - eh, it's not amazing like most people say. I have scars and freckles so I like high coverage, whereas mineral makeup is closer to medium coverage at most. It's also a struggle to get the technique down with the powder brushes, maybe I should invest in a flat-top kabuki?
-foundation brush: the brushes that came in the starter kit
Concealer: bareMinerals foundation doubles as concealer at the moment
Powder: bareMinerals Mineral Veil(love this! on the odd day that I really want high coverage and use a liquid foundation, brushing this over the top gives the skin the nicest airbrushed effect)/MAC MSF Natural
Cream blush: MAC Ladyblush - my MAC still had the original creme blushes left over so I nabbed one on my last trip. I love how natural this color looks :)
Powder blush: Urban Decay Score - soo pretty, lovin the peach blushes right now. If I want a pink I'll go for Quickie, also by UD
Bronzer: Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer - ohhhh the smell of this! the actual bronzer doesn't show up on my skin that much but I enjoy the smell so much I brush it on in the mornings for a quick pick-me-up
Highlighter: Benefit High Beam/MAC Shell cream colour base
Eye primer: UDPP
Eyeshadows:
smokey eye- MAC Sable, UD Naked palette(Sin, Darkhorse, Hustle, & Gunmetal)
neutral eye- UD Sin, Buck, Naked
Eyeliner: L'oreal HIP black gel liner
Mascara: Revlon Growluscious
Lipstick: MAC Shy Girl - this is as nude as I can go without having to go through the faff of lipliner + mixing lipsticks + gloss
Lipgloss: MAC Plushglass in Fashion Fanatic
Nailpolish: Sephora-OPI Metro Chic on hands, OPI Dulce de Leche on toes
omg I want to do this! about to put it on my blog :D
